This debate is recognized as just one of the many ways that DSB1 students learn about the democratic process. Throughout participating DSB1 schools, elementary and secondary students further engage in learning through participation in a Student Vote, held on June 2, 2022, which coincides with the Ontario provincial election. Student Vote harnesses elections as an opportunity for students to learn about the government, the election process, the candidates, and their political platforms.
